Step 1: Open your browser and navigate to hbi.litmos.com
If you’ve entered an incorrect username and password combination, you’ll see the following message:
After 5 incorrect login attempts, your account will be locked.
Step 2: You can unlock it by emailing your instructor your first/last name and username. Your instructor will then email LMSsupport@hbi.org for an Account Unlock/Password Reset.
Step 3: A temporary password will be emailed to your instructor.
Also, if you can’t remember your username or are a student without an email address on file with us, please get in touch with your instructor.
Step 4: After you receive your temporary password from your instructor, you can follow the steps outlined below.
- Before you reset your password, please clear your cache. Password resets should happen only occasionally, and clearing the cache can help.

Step 5: After reviewing your information and creating a new password, please make sure you meet the minimum requirements: 8 characters, including one uppercase, one lowercase, one number, and one special character.
- Password Example: HomeBuilder25!
- Once all required fields are filled in, click Continue.
**Please make note of your new password.

Step 6: If the password reset procedure was successful, you will be logged into the user dashboard.
